Description

Unidrive M400
Advanced capability

Fast set-up and diagnostics with real-text
display, integrated PLC and extra I/O
0.25 kW - 132 kW (0.33 hp - 175 hp)
100 V | 200 V | 400 V | 575 V | 690 V

When it comes to flexibility, Unidrive M400 is an athlete. The removable keypad with a real text display makes it ideal for users who require extra diagnostic help when setting parameters. Add in an impressive I/O count, dual Safe Torque Off (STO) and an integrated PLC, all of which contribute to making the M400 a extremely capable drive. The on-board interface ports give you even more options. Allowing you to include fieldbus, I/O, parameter backup, and communication options.

Safety onboard
Unidrive M400 provides a cost effective approach to safety. It features a dual Safe Torque Off (STO) input, certified to SIL3/ PLe safety rating and compliant with EN/IEC 61800-5-2.

Flexible connectivity
Connect with common fieldbus networks using the modular ‘SI’ interface port. By adding an option module, the drive can communicate with Ethernet, EtherCAT, PROFINET,
PROFIBUS, CANopen and DeviceNet. The AI-485 Adaptor can also connect to RS485 networks using Modbus RTU.

Increase your productivity
To get the most out of your drives, we’ve developed the Unidrive M Connect tool. It’s designed to aid productivity when commissioning, optimizing and monitoring drive/system performance.

More control. No extra cost
If you’re using an external PLC in your machinery, you’ll know that extra functionality comes at a price. Our integrated PLC is included at no extra cost.

Easy to setup
Setting up the drive is easy by following the step by step guide that comes in the box. Save even more time by transferring settings before you install the drive. All you need is our AI-485 24V adaptor, AI-Backup adaptor or AI-Smart adaptor and a 24V power supply.

Control
High bandwidth motor control supporting switching frequencies up to 16 kHz, for open and closed loop induction, servo and hybrid PM motors, giving up to 3,000 Hz current loop bandwidth and 250 Hz speed loop bandwidth. Unidrive, with its high speed variants, is suitable for applications where output frequencies above 600 Hz are needed, such as spindles and centrifuges.
